There are three criteria when calculating points:
Pokerstars Leaderboard Prizes 2020
- Place Finished
Players receive points only if they are in the money. If a tournament pays only five places, only the top five players get points. - Amount of the buy-in
- Number of entrants
Total points are calculated by multiplying the point factors of the three criteria:
Place finished
The top 10 players receive points in field size less than 400. The top 20 receive points for fields from 400-799. The top 30 receive points for field of 800+
Players making deals which alter prize payouts will have further allocation of bonus APOY Leaderboard points suspended.
Place | Points Awarded |
---|---|
1st | 120 |
2nd | 100 |
3rd | 80 |
4th | 60 |
5th | 50 |
6th | 40 |
7th | 35 |
8th | 30 |
9th | 25 |
10th | 20 |
11th-20th | 10 |
21th-30th | 5 |
Buy-ins
Buy-in (HKD) | Points Awarded |
---|---|
$200,000 and more | 8 points |
$100,000 | 6 points |
$50,000-99,999 | 5 points |
$30,000-49,999 | 4 points |
$20,000-29,999 | 3.5 points |
$10,000-19,999 | 3 points |
$5000-9,999 | 2.5 points |
$2,000-4,999 | 2 points |
Under $2,000 | 1 point |
The buy-in in rebuy tournaments are calculated by dividing the total gross prize pool by the number of entrants.
Please Note: Conversion rate for purpose of determining buy-in amount will be locked at 5 PHP-to-1 HKD; 125 KRW-to-1 HKD
Number of entrants
Number of entrants | Points Awarded |
---|---|
Under 50 | 1 point |
50-99 | 2 points |
100-149 | 3 points |
150-199 | 4 points |
200-204 entries is 4.1 points. Then each grouping of 10 entries increases the number of points by 0.1. For example: 205-214 entries is 4.2 points, 215-224 entries is 4.3 points and so forth. The maximum points awarded for Entries factor is 10 (which occurs at grouping 785-794 entries).
Here is a hypothetical total point calculation example:
You finished in 3rd place in a $5,000 buy-in event that had 120 entrants.
Pokerstars Leaderboard Prizes Online
You receive 80 points for 3rd; the buy-in is $5,000, which is a 2.5-point event; and there are 120 entrants, which is good for 3 points.
Thus, you receive 600 total points (80 x 2.5 x 3= 600).
